FAQs
Q: Does the listed size represent the actual embroidery area for my Ricoma machine? A: The dimensions listed refer to the inner hoop dimension. To ensure the highest stitch quality and provide safe clearance for the presser foot on your Ricoma MT or TC series, the actual recommended sewing field is slightly smaller. This safety margin prevents the frame from impacting the machine's head and ensures your designs are stitched with perfect tension across the entire area.
Q: Are these magnetic hoops fully compatible with my Ricoma MT-1501 or SWD model?
A: Yes. We offer machine-specific configurations tailored for the Ricoma carriage system. When you select your Ricoma model during checkout, you will receive a solution that is precision-engineered to integrate seamlessly with your machine's rails. This provides a "plug-and-play" experience, allowing you to switch from standard hoops to magnetic hoops in seconds without any special adjustments.
Q: Can these hoops securely hold heavy items like thick hoodies or canvas bags on my Ricoma?
A: Absolutely. Ricoma machines are designed for versatile commercial work, and our industrial-strength magnets are built to match that versatility. They provide a powerful, uniform clamping force that is ideal for heavy, multi-layer garments. Whether you are stitching thick fleece hoodies, heavy canvas bags, or denim, your fabric will stay perfectly flat and stable throughout the entire embroidery process.
Q: How do these hoops help prevent "hoop burn" on my professional Ricoma projects?
A: This is one of the top reasons professional Ricoma users upgrade to our magnetic system. Traditional screw-type hoops rely on localized friction that can leave permanent pressure marks, known as "hoop burn," especially on delicate or high-end performance wear. Because our magnetic hoops distribute pressure evenly across the entire frame, they protect your garments from damage and ensure a professional, mark-free finish.
Q: Are the strong magnets safe for the computerized touch screen and sensors on my Ricoma?
A: Yes, they are completely safe. We utilize a concentrated magnetic field design where the force is strictly directed between the top and bottom steel frames to hold the fabric. It is not strong enough to interfere with the LCD touch screens, thread sensors, or internal electronics of your Ricoma embroidery machine. You can operate your machine at full speed with total peace of mind.
